Legoland

Today we had the pleasure of experiencing Legoland California in the middle of the week out of season. Longest wait for a ride was 10 minutes. No queues anywhere and I can only imagine what people must think when they are standing in line beside a sign that reads "the approximate wait time from here is 45 minutes".

We tried all the rides and poor Ezra and Kobe were on one when it malfunctioned and all the cars crawled around. It wasn't their fault but it seemed to everyone that they weren't pedaling hard enough. They cracked it with Declan who thought it was pretty funny.

Ezra went on all the rides and as the photo shows really enjoyed it. Proud of them all today.

We didn't spend thousands of dollars at the Legoland shop where I'm pretty sure they stock all the lego. I still feel like a nufty with the money. I'm collecting shrapnel and am up to about $1.

We had apple fries today. These are thin slices of granny smiths deep fried and served with vanilla whipped cream. The boys' lunch came with a collector cup, raisins and potato chips - again.

Off to Seaworld tomorrow and the resort concierge is trying to find a baseball or football game for Saturday. Probably a college game as The Padres are at St Louis this weekend.

Noticed today that the Suburban runs on E85 so I've been pouring sugar sachets into the tank. Runs like a dream. Could get used to a car that seats 8 and has enough room in the boot for 5 suitcases with space to spare.

Ha! Those facial expressions are priceless :) Tell Ez I'm really proud of him. Rides are never his thing. I know Deki's a soldier so he would have recovered quickly. Kobe...what can I say? :)))))))

Great photos. What an experience for the boys (and you two). Really look forward to your posts. Isn't it great that we can share your holiday half a world away. Do you realise you are on the same continent as Richard Dean Anderson. :-)
